As the rest of the team this will be Dura Ace STI Levers. After cleaning the weight check: 370.0 grams
Back on the bike… Just slip the lever from the bar end to its position. Inside the handlebar is a scale for orientation and sizing. The clamp should be in the same position mark on both sides.
I marked my perfect position during the disassembly process. This makes it easier for me during the build-up. As said before this “ReBuild” is just for the BLOG and picturing…
I keep the classic style wile the end of the lever is inline with the drop-end of the bar. It is also straight on looking forward, no drift of something.
Tip
To make sure there is a straight line from the bar end to the lever as well as a straight look a level is very handy. It is also possible to mount the wheels and saddle to take a demo seat/grip. This will help you to find the perfect alignment.
Last step is the correct leveling of both levers. With a lace and a sharp eyes this is done in no time.
In the end the tightening of the STI bolt. 6-8NM on both sides.
