Today will be the day where all static parts will be mounted. In the rebuild I want a new seatpost – my pick the Ritchey WCS 1-Bolt with a seatback of 20mm. It has a nice finish which teams best with stem and handlebar plus a simple and perfect adjustment design… just one screw/bolt. Last but not the least will be my Specialized Toupe Pro. This is still the best saddle in my opinion. Ok, maybe the s-works toupe is lighter but this only counts on a carbon bike.

The seatpost ships with the standard 7×7 clamp so I also need the 7×9,6 clamp for the “Fizik” standard which the toupe runs.
The screw will be dropped because it is a steel one… Titanium is the choice of glory! The difference in weight is nearly 6 grams (5,9 gram) because I crafted a tapered head screw.
The old friend on the scale: 163,5 grams. Still perfect.
The screw or bolt will be glued with loctite 243 because two things: First, the original has also loctite on the threads. Second, aluminium and titanium… you know the story, right?
I race a 7 degree angled saddle. The exact measurement data is shown the the road bike section. The torque is 12NM for the 1-Bolt WCS.
The final result looks superb!
